If you work in a media department or are an advertiser client, you probably have stacks of proposals, media kits, research documents, computer printouts, contact reports and complimentary publications waiting to be sorted through or (if you wait long enough) thrown out.
As a long time media professional, I've developed a wish list of resources that I wish I had when I was a media planner/buyer. As the World Wide Web developed, I was looking for someone to put up a site that would provide the information that would make my life easier. Since I didn't see anything objective and useful in a "real world" sort of way, I decided to create one myself. PubZone is the result.
This site is intended to complement all of the other resources (both online and traditional) that are available to the media professional. It is not intended to "wow" you with the latest in Web technology. We will focus on getting the information you need in a quick, no nonsense way. The success of the PubZone will depend on our ability to give you access to the necessary resources and tools to make it easier to get your work done.
Sections of this site will also interest other agency departments as well as marketers and media sellers. It is hoped that media sellers will use this forum to provide media planners and buyers with concise, complete, up-to-date, constantly available information about their media vehicles so that both sellers and buyers can maximize their productivity in our information-overloaded world.
I hope to see you soon in the PubZone!
