Chanel has chosen Jean-Pierre Jeunet to direct the next Chanel No.5 advertising film, with French actress Audrey Tautou starring in the leading role. Jeunet previously directed Tautou in the cinema films Amelie and The Long Engagement, making Chanel their third collaboration. Chanel has comissioned the director and his muse to write a new page in the love story between the cinema and No.5. Tautou replaces actress Nicole Kidman whose contract with Chanel is coming to an end. No. 5's new advertising film will be released in 2009.
