Eli Lilly Canada recently began airing a new 30-sec. advertisement for Cialis that's 30-second running nationally, in English and French, both during regular programming and on specialty television. The ad campaign's premise is that it's easy to lose track of time when you're with someone you really care about. The commercial itself depicts a breathless couple frantically running through their home trying to re-establish order after a lengthy 'interruption' in their daily routine. A burnt turkey, a flooded front lawn and and overflowing bathtub don't faze the couple in question. They simply meet up with a sympathetic glance and a smile. The Cialis logo then appears on the screen with a banner saying 'Cialis, Ask your doctor.' "Our intent was to develop an effective Canadian campaign that encourages men to initiate dialogue about Cialis with their doctors in a manner that respects applicable Canadian regulations governing pharmaceutical advertising," says Michel Quintas, direct to consumer channel manager, Eli Lilly. "Ultimately, it will be up to consumers to compare the benefits of Cialis with other options and to discuss with their doctor which option is best for them." Grey Canada, Toronto, developed the television spots, which were pre-cleared through the appropriate regulatory bodies. Cialis is currently available in approximately 100 countries and more than 10 million patients worldwide have been treated with Cialis since its first introduction in Feb./03. Watch TV spot.
