NABS Names 4th Annual List of Honour Roll Inductees

The National Advertising Benevolent Society of Canada (NABS) announced that 12 individuals and two companies have been named as the fourth year inductees to 'NABS Honour Roll'.

The program was launched in 2005 to recognize individuals and organizations, both nationally and regionally. who have contributed exceptional support in the formation and development of NABS since it’s founding in 1984.

The 2008 inductees are:

The 2008 'Honour Roll' inductees were announced at one of the most important events in the Canadian advertising industry calendar, the 24th Annual NABS Gala & Fundraising Dinner May 13/08. More than 600 senior advertising and media industry executives attended NABS most popular live event in Toronto.

All inductees will be presented with a custom engraved plaque at the Gala.

“NABS was founded on the foresight and effort of volunteers who recognized the need to provide support for industry colleagues," Mike Fenton, president and CEO, NABS Canada. "We want to recognize those special individuals and organizations whose ongoing participation has made it possible for NABS to continue to meet the increasing demand for our services, with their inclusion in the ‘Honour Roll’. On behalf of the thousands of industry colleagues and their families whom NABS has assisted, we want to express our thanks."

NABS is the only charitable group in Canada set up exclusively to provide assistance to communication industry professionals who may need help due to illness, injury, unemployment or financial difficulties. NABS services include a national toll-free counselling Helpline (1-888-355-5548) and financial assistance, as well as personal and career counselling. Founded in 1984, NABS has contributed more than $7.5 million in direct support to industry professionals and their families.

NABS is supported 100% by the advertising and media industry; has chapters in B.C., Alberta, Ontario and Quebec; and provides services in all provinces.
