Gabriel Bouchard, as vice-president strategic planning, and Joe Wilke as vice-president finance are joining Toronto-based Workopolis, Canada's leading provider of recruitment and job search solutions. Bouchard was a founder, vice-president and general manager of Monster.ca, launched in 1997. He was also a member of the North American executive team until Jan./08. Prior to joining Monster.ca, Bouchard was vice-president marketing at TMP Worldwide, a recruitment advertising agency. “Gabriel joins Workopolis with vast knowledge and experience of the online recruitment business and will lead our team in the new direction to further develop our expansion into the niche Web site business,” says Patrick Sullivan, president, Workopolis. “We’re already Canada’s biggest job site, but we continue to seek continued business expansion through enhanced reach to specific industries and specialized fields.” In August, Wilke will also join the Workopolis team. A Chartered Accountant, Wilke has spent 14 years in finance at Loblaw Companies Limited, and recently held the role of senior vice-president financial reporting and control. He earlier worked with Ernst and Young. Wilke has extensive hands-on financial operational and managerial experience, along with a proven track record of delivering financial expertise. He steps in to lead the finance team and will assume responsibility to drive financial and business strategy that to date, has enabled Workopolis to sustain significant growth year over year. In Jan./08, Workopolis acquired Brainhunter’s North American job board business. Recently, Workopolis announced a partnership with Rogers Publishing to power its dedicated B-to-B job boards. These partnerships, along with other developments, offer employers and job seekers access to hundreds of professional, trade and industry specific associations and job boards.
