Cari Svensson and Karen Power have been appointed to senior client service roles at Toronto-based BIMM Communications integrated direct response agency. Svensson comes from MacLaren MRM where she worked as group account director on the Microsoft business. She previously worked at Doner USA where she focused on the Sirius Satellite Radio and Expedia.com businesses. She has also held senior management positions at both Cossette/Blitz and M Marketing.“Cari is really passionate about leveraging data to the max,” says Brian Bimm, the agency’s president. “As group account director on Toyota, JP Morgan Chase and a major new business initiative, Cari will augment BIMM’s data-driven CRM strategies with her in-depth knowledge of analytics.” Power comes to BIMM via MacLaren MRM and Cossette/Blitz. Among her numerous accomplishments, she has spent seven years working on a wide range of CRM initiatives for Bell Canada. Most recently, she has been managing direct and digital activities on the RBC business. “Karen is a strong team leader with a collaborative style who excels at brand integration” says Brian. “As senior account director on the TELUS business, she will drive direct response programs which generate results and build brand at the same time”. Both new hires will report to Mike Da Ponte who joined BIMM as director of client service earlier this year. “Mike has brought a wealth of industry-leading experience in the automotive, telecom and retail sectors, and he has injected a lot of energy into the agency,” says Bimm. “He is also expanding the agency’s online activities.” Among BIMM clients are: TELUS, Toyota, Lexus, JP Morgan Chase and United Way of Greater Toronto.
