Among its awards was the coveted award for Best Newscast (Large Market) for CTV News at 6 anchored by Bill Good and Pamela Martin. The RTNDA Awards are widely regarded as the highest recognition for broadcast journalism in Canada. In addition to the Best Newscast (Large Market) award, CTV B.C.'s awards included: - Best Spot News - for 'Plane Crash'; - Best Short Feature (Large Market) - for 'Spy Princess'; - Best In-depth/Investigative Coverage - for 'Taser Death'. The local award winners will go on to compete for the RTNDA National Awards to be presented at the RTNDA National Conference in Ottawa on June 21/08.
