The Direct Sellers Association of Canada recognized its 2008 award recipients last month at the association’s annual conference held in Charlottetown, PEI. They include: . Ivan P. Phelan Award, presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of the direct selling industry in Canada – Robin Bell, Quixtar Canada, manager of technical and quality services. . Making a Difference Award, recognizing the efforts of companies that have made a profound difference in communities across Canada - PartyLite Gifts, Ltd.. . Partnership in Progress Award, recognizing a company that provides a good or service that makes a measurable impact and contribution within the direct selling industry - INTI Publishing. . Industry Innovation Award, given to a member company that implements a unique or innovative program or approach to the industry - Tupperware Canada Inc.. . Distinguished Service Award, recognizing people for their participation and leadership on DSA committees and/or Board of Directors - Angela Abdallah, Quixtar Canada; Patricia King, NuSkin Canada Inc.; Garry Ford, Nature’s Sunshine Products of Canada Limited; Michael Rowlands, Shaklee Canada Inc.; Jim Peterson, former federal Minister of International Trade.
