The agreement includes current Lacombe station, Sunny 94 (CJUV-FM), and the new radio station license in Red Deer (CKIK-FM), to be launched later this summer.

Serving central Alberta, Sunny 94 is an energized classic hits station playing the favourites of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Targeting adults 25-54, the station will boost its power on July 1st from 9,500 watts to 51,000 watts giving Sunny listeners in Sylvan Lake and area a crystal clear signal.

L.A. Radio Group Inc. is owned by Alberta media couple, Troy Stevens and Sonia Sawyer. Targeting adults 18-44, the launch of CKIK-FM in Red Deer on July 24/09 will make L.A. Radio Group Inc. the only independently and locally owned radio broadcasting company in the city. Lacombe and Red Deer are nestled between major economic centres Edmonton and Calgary.
