Newfoundland's Target Attracts Loney and Park
by Gail Chiasson
May 26, 2009
One of the newest recruits to grace Target Marketing & Communications Inc.’s harbourfront office in downtown St. John’s is Katie Loney, strategic planner and Ontario native who recently worked at Taxi in Toronto.

The other is Sarah Park, intern copywriter who arrived in St. John’s two months ago from Toronto and been hitting great ideas so far out of the park that Target bribed her into accepting a permanent position.

Loney is considered creative and curious with depth, insight, and business savvy. As well as Taxi — where she worked on such accounts as McCain, Canadian Tire and Telus — she also has experience working at zig and Cosette.

Park previously interned at Youthography where she worked for such clients as Zune and Durex. Prior to advertising, Park intially worked as a chef.

Target Marketing & Communications Inc. is an award-winning, full-service advertising agency and brand architecture firm whose clients include: Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism, Air Canada Jazz, Irving Oil, Brock University, Fronteer, Aurora Energy, and Maple Leaf foods. Target has repeatedly been named one of Canada’s Top 10 creative agencies, and is one of only nine agencies in Canada to win Gold at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.
