The Flash in the Can Awards, which honour Web sites created using Flash, saw several Canadians honoured recently. YouTube personality and Flash developer, Phillip Kerman, hosted the awards show, which saw Calgary, Alberta-based designer, Bram Timmer, walk away with the People's Choice Award. Winners in all categories received a can opener encased in Plexiglas along with a year of bragging rights. In the Canadian-only categories, winners were: - The Vacuum, Vancouver, for Best Canadian Studio Web site; - Gregory Marc Tare Washington of Teehan+Lax, Toronto, for Best Canadian Designer Web site; - Peter Nitsch of Teehan+Lax, Toronto, for Best Canadian Developer Web site; - Yohei Shimomae for Best Canadian Student Web site. Best In Show was taken by GE Augmented Reality.
