The Building Industry and Land Development Association of Toronto (BILD) recently awarded the 2009 Best PR Campaign (Low-Rise) to The Communications Group Inc. for its work representing The Mikey Network, Heathwood Homes and The Heron Group of Companies.
With more than 1,400 member companies, BILD is the voice of the land development, home building and professional renovation industries in the Greater GTA. BILD is affiliated with the Ontario and Canadian Home Builders' Associations.
Heathwood Homes, one of The Heron Group of Companies, is a Greater Toronto Area homebuilder with a reputation for offering more-than-expected detailing and quality craftsmanship at a range of prices. The company was formed in 1991 as a joint venture partnership between Heron and Daniels Capital Corporation. For nearly 30 years, Heron Homes has excelled at meeting and exceeding homeowner expectations in fine communities across Southern Ontario.
The Mikey Network was named for the late Mike Salem – a partner in Heathwood Homes and The Heron Group of Companies who died while golfing in the Muskokas in 2002. No one knows whether a defibrillator could have helped to save Mike’s life, but in his name, The Mikey Network places Mikeys in as many public places as possible, so that other cardiac arrest victims may have a second chance. To date, over 600 Mikeys have been funded and placed throughout the GTA
