The new listing on the New York Stock Exchange of Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc., one of the leading refreshment beverage companies in North America, marks the official separation of Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages from Cadbury Schweppes plc. And with this separation, the Canadian division of Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc., will now be known as Canada Dry Mott’s Inc., says Andy Bayfield, vice-president and general manager. Canada Dry Mott’s Inc. markets and distributes many of the nation’s best-selling flavoured carbonated soft drinks, mixers, juices, apple sauce, water, ready-to-drink teas and other premium beverages. "Canada Dry Mott’s Inc. is making a 'splash' in Canada thanks to a lively mix of exciting brands, and a talented, passionate Canadian team that’s oriented to meet consumer and customer needs," says Bayfield. "For us, the 'splash' is the elusive something that sets our brands apart from the ordinary and gives flavour to every one of the beverages we own and distribute in Canada." Bayfield says that the company’s collective powerhouse of brands — which include Mott’s Clamato, Canada Dry, Dr Pepper, Crush, Mott’s Fruitsations, Schweppes, Orangina and Mott’s Garden Cocktail, among others — has delivered year-over-year growth for the past four years straight. Dr Pepper Snapple Group had 2007 full-year revenues of $5.7 billion, with three-quarters of the company’s volume coming from brands that are either number one or two in their category. "We have a strong and sustainable business model and can leverage our integrated system for future growth," says Larry Young, president and CEO of Dr Pepper Snapple Group. "We’re looking forward to solely focusing on the beverage business." Based in Plano, Texas, Dr Pepper Snapple Group operates 24 bottling and manufacturing facilities and more than 200 distribution centers across the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. |
