Tungle, Montréal-based start-up Web 2.0 software company and 2007 DEMOgod award winner, has appointed Rod Weir as vice-president sales and business development. Weir was previously responsible for international OEM sales and business development efforts for Nimcat’s Peer To Peer software telephony offer, securing a multi-million dollar OEM software deal that helped close and elevate its acquisition by Avaya Inc. He remained at Avaya as global sales director–peer to peer, until joining Tungle. He earlier held positions with Cisco Canada and other ventures.
