Zoocasa.com Names LexPR its PR AOR

Canadian online real estate start-up Zoocasa.com has retained LexPR Canada, Toronto, as its public relations agency-of-record.

Saul Colt, Zoocasa’s 'head of magic', says, “I’ve worked with LexPR very successfully in the past. Part of my goal with Zoocasa.com is to make it a magical experience, and I am confident that the LexPR team can bring this vision to life.”

A Rogers initiative, Zoocasa.com is defining a whole new way for Canadians to navigate the jungle of online real estate listings. Zoocasa.com is positioned as the first online home searching tool that allows users to search by neighbourhood or school, for instance, and also offers its own iPhone application and regular listing updates via Twitter.

With access to national listings for resale homes, Zoocasa.com welcomes realtors and individuals alike into the advanced world of Web 2.0 tools and creates a simple, fun and relevant search experience.

Colt, who leads marketing efforts for the online venture, was recently named in the 2009 iMEDIA 25 – the only Canadian to make it on the list of cutting-edge creatives, strategists and technology innovators with big ideas in the Internet marketing realm. Prior to joining Zoocasa, Colt led the ‘magic’ department at FreshBooks, the world leader in online invoicing and time tracking, where he used non-traditional marketing efforts to substantially increase its customer base from 240,000 to over 750,000. Colt attributes this success to his strategy of "making love to the FreshBooks customers using social media tools."

Colt earlier led the marketing department at Zipcar Canada, helping the US-based company launch in Toronto, with the help of LexPR Canada as AOR.

LexPR is a boutique Toronto shop that conducts public and media relations for such clients as: Warner Home Video, Shoppers Drug Mart, MGA Entertainment (Little Tikes, Bratz), and Beam Global Canada (wines and spirits).
